Stand Up for Landmarks! Protests, Posters & Pictures

Saving landmarks in Chicago has always been a lively challenge. Over the years, public activism, outreach campaigns and governmental legislation have produced notable graphic designs and striking photographs. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

Within every man there is a monster; within every monster, a man. But which is which?

An eerie evening of ghost stories crackles to life as Mary Shelley unspools her tale of Victor Frankenstein and his unholy experiment. This gothic tale of love, horror, and the power to create life and destroy it awakens in this visceral, original retelling of Frankenstein.

Fresh from the brain of Ensemble Member David Catlin, creator of Moby Dick and Lookingglass Alice, comes a galvanic adaptation of this undying story. See for yourself this latest invention come to shocking life!

Yoko Ono: Poetry, Painting, Music, Objects, Events, and Wish Trees

Yoko Ono mixes verse and art with an indoor/outdoor exhibition that includes the entire typescript that became her pioneering book of poetry and conceptual art, Grapefruit. The typescripts are spread in three rows so that visitors can enter the book at any place, or read from beginning to end. In the Foundation courtyard, visitors can engage with Wish Trees, an art installation on which visitors can hang wishes from the trees—the Chicago debut of Ono’s exhibition that’s traveled to 10 countries.
